Chinese Chargé d'Affaires a.i.attended China-Government of Uganda Roundtable Discussion Series on PPPs for Infrastructure & Project Development

On October 13, 2016, Mr.Chu Maoming, Charge d'Affairs a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda attended China-Government of Uganda Roundtable Discussion Series on Private-Public Partnerships (PPPs) for Infrastructure & Project Development held by the Standard Chartered Bank. Ugandan Government officials and representatives from Chinese companies attended the event.

Mr.Chu Maoming said that recent years witnessed the rapid development of China Uganda trade and investment relations, especially in the area of infrastructure cooperation. Mr. Chu added that, to push forward the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade and investment, the Chinese Government and the Ugandan Government, Chinese enterprises in Uganda and local media need to work together to create the best climate for investors. Mr. Chu also expressed that he is confident that the cooperation between the two countries will continue moving forward and benefiting the people of the two sides.
